During our study of the monarch butterfly we compiled a book illustrating the life cycle of this beautiful creature.  Our favorite page to make was the adult butterfly page.  The wings were made by our FEET!

We were fortunate to have  monarch caterpillars in our room.  We fed them milkweed leaves each day and watched them  grow . . . and grow . . . and grow!

We watched them through all of the stages until they  emerged from their crysalis, and then we said goodbye as they flew away.
